City Educators offers fun activities and lessons to help children at KS1 level learn English, Mathematics. Starting from Reception to Year 2.

Our tutoring approach for all KS1 subjects:

English: We work to improve the appropriate use of English language in younger learners with special emphasis on

• Phonics, spelling and vocabulary
• Grammar and punctuation in reading and writing
• Speaking and listening

Maths: We have a fun filled approach to teach maths to KS1 students with special emphasis on

• Number: numbers and the number system, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division
• Geometry: shapes and geometric reasoning, position and movement
• Measure: money, length, mass, capacity, area, and time
• Handling data: organising, categorising and representing data
• Problem solving: using techniques and skills in solving mathematical problems

At the end of KS1 (Year 2) all students have to sit National Exam Standard Assessment Test (SATs) for English and Mathematics.

We ensure that we prepare our students according to the National Curriculum. We ensure that the student has cover the curriculum and followed by the practice of the past papers. This helps the students to understand the exam patterns while ensuring their practice to finish the paper in the meantime.
