Our primary level tutors can enable our KS2 students perform to the best of their abilities and excel as top students in their curriculum. Our KS2 tutors also provide specialized exam preparation service to thoroughly prepare students of year 6 for their Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) exam and 11+ entrance exams.

We teach all subjects mentioned below and cover the theoretical basis in each subject area:

 English

• Speaking and listening:Speaking, listening, group discussion and interaction, drama, standard English and language variation
• Reading:Reading strategies, understanding texts, reading for information, literature, non-fiction and non-literary texts and language structure and variation
• Writing:Composition, planning and drafting, punctuation, spelling, handwriting and presentation, standard English and language structure

 Mathematics

• Number:Using and applying number, numbers and the number system, calculations, solving numerical problems such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Furthermore, solving fractions including decimals and percentages.
• Ratio and Proportion: Using and understanding the concept of ratio and proportion. Able to solve the problems, read, write and convert the metric and imperial units.
• Algebra: The students must be able to understand the basic algebra including use of formula, generate and describe the sequence, express missing numbers. Finding the pairs and possibilities of combination of 2 variables.
• Geometry:Using and applying shape and space, understanding properties of shape, understanding properties of position and movement and understanding measures. Describing the position on full coordinate’s grid. Drawing and translating the shapes and their axes.
• Statistics:Using and applying handling data, processing, representing and interpreting data including bar charts and pie charts. Calculating and interpreting the means as averages.

  Science

• Scientific enquiry:Ideas and evidence in science and investigative skills
• Life processes and living things:Life processes, humans and other animals, green plants, variation and classification and living things in their environment
• Materials and their properties:Grouping and classifying materials, changing materials and separating mixtures of materials
• Physical processes: Electricity, forces and motion, light and sound and the Earth and beyond, design and technology, developing, planning and communicating ideas, working with tools, equipment, materials and components to make quality products, evaluating processes and products, knowledge and understanding of materials and components

 At the end of KS2 (Year 6) all students have to sit National Exam Standard Assessment Test (SATs) for English and Mathematics.

We ensure that we prepare our students according to the National Curriculum. We ensure that the student has cover the curriculum and followed by the practice of the past papers. This helps the students to understand the exam patterns while ensuring their practice to finish the paper in the meantime.
